Best Acoustic Guitar Instruction - My Story
I want to learn the guitar. I have an electric guitar without strings. I do not know what gauge strings to use, or how to vote correctly when I lined up. Any suggestions?

Before anything, I would like to thank-you for visiting my site about acoustic guitar instruction.
I am writing on this blog but it was really put together with the help of a more technically savvy friend of mine(my grandchild), cause to be honest, I am really no good at any of this, but always learning.
And the reason why you see me with a brand new electric guitar in the picture above is because my grandaughter surprised me on my birthday, since she was so proud of my progress.
Now the reason she and I were so keen to get this up for you was to save you the trial and error of trying to find a great learn guitar online program, which we really had problems finding.
I do need to tell you that although I am not a guitar beginner(got a few good songs under my belt), I do still follow my guitar video instructions and I just keep getting better at it. So I know how you feel if you have ever tried to learn and got stuck.
I have gained so much since I have started with proper acoustic guitar instruction. It actually teaches you what you want to learn and guides you all the way until you succeed(thought that I'd never find one!!!).
So we want to share this program with you because of my success and also the very hard time we had finding on-line acoustic guitar lessons free of nonsense. So hopefully we can let as many people as possible know about, what we believe to be the best acoustic instruction, so you won't go through the same heartache we did.

Like all the others have said, take it to a music store and ask them to Restring it and tune it. As far as recommendations go string, I prefer Ernie Ball Slinky Strings Rock N Roll. They are wrapped in pure nickel wire instead of nickel plated steel wire, like many other string, and this gives them a nice warm sound, which is especially good for most any type of music. The gauge is really up to you. I personally think 10′s are all a pretty good teaching. You sound pretty full, while chording and not stooping to roughly with his fingers during solos. I like 9′s for solos that require a lot of corners, and they work ok for power chords.
